SISTEMA NERVIOSO
 El sistema nervioso es un conjunto de órganos constituidos por tejido nervioso que controla las funciones del organismo. Sus partes principales son el cerebro y la médula espinal, de las que salen y entran nervios que se distribuyen por todo el cuerpo a través de los nervios craneales y los nervios raquídeos a lo largo de toda la columna vertebral.

El sistema nervioso según su localización anatómica se divide en:

Sistema nervioso central: Constituido por el cerebro y la médula espinal que está encerrada en la columna vertebral.

Sistema nervioso periférico: Formado por los nervios que emergen del encéfalo y de la médula espinal y que se distribuyen por todo el cuerpo: nervios craneales, nervios raquídeos sean  nervios autónomos y sus ganglios nerviosos o nervios somáticos. SISTEMA CARDIOVASCULAR. El sistema circulatorio posee como función el distribuir los nutrientes, oxigeno a las células y recoger los desechos metabólicos que se han de eliminar después por los riñones, en la orina, y por el aire exalado en los pulmones, rico en dióxido de carbono (CO2). De toda esta labor se encarga la sangre, que está circulando constantemente. Además, el aparato circulatorio tiene otras destacadas funciones: interviene en las defensas del organismo, regula la temperatura corporal, etc. SISTEMA RESPIRATORIO. La función del Sistema Respiratorio es incorporar oxigeno al organismo; para que al llegar a la célula se produzca la "combustión" y poder así "quemar" los nutrientes y liberar energía. De ésta combustión quedan desechos, tal como el dióxido de carbono, el cual es expulsado al exterior a través del proceso de espiración (proceso llevado a cabo por el sistema respiratorio). SISTEMA DIGESTIVO. El sistema digestivo es el encargado de digerir los alimentos que tomamos, haciéndolos aptos para que puedan ser primero absorbidos y luego asimilados. El sistema digestivo comprende el tubo digestivo y las glándulas anejas. El tubo digestivo es un largo conducto que se extiende desde la boca, que es un orificio de entrada, hasta el ano, que es el orificio terminal o de salida de los residuos de la digestión. En el tubo digestivo se distinguen la boca, la faringe, el esófago, el estómago, el intestino delgado y el intestino grueso. La Cavidad Bucal La boca es una cavidad en cuyo interior están la lengua y los dientes. La lengua es un órgano musculoso en el que reside el sentido del gusto. Los dientes son piezas duras encajadas en los orificios o alvéolos de los huesos mandibulares. La parte inferior del diente se llama raíz y la porción libre externa se llama corona, figurando entre ambas una zona llamada cuello. Existen tres clases de dientes; los incisivos, los caninos, los premolares y los molares.el hombre adulto posee treinta y dos dientes, dieciséis en cada mandíbula; cuatro incisivos, dos caninos, cuatro premolares y seis molares. SISTEMA ENDOCRINO. El sistema endocrino está formado por una serie de glándulas que liberan un tipo de sustancias llamadas hormonas; es decir, es el sistema de las glándulas de secreción interna o glándulas endocrinas. Una hormona es una sustancia química que se sintetiza en una glándula de secreción interna y ejerce algún tipo de efecto fisiológico sobre otras células hasta las que llega por vía sanguínea. Las hormonas actúan como mensajeros químicos y sólo ejercerán su acción sobre aquellas células que posean en sus membranas los receptores específicos (son las células diana o blanco). SISTEMA REPRODUCTOR FEMENINO El aparato reproductor femenino es el sistema sexual femenino. Junto con el masculino, es uno de los encargados de garantizar la reproducción humana. Ambos se componen de las gónadas (órganos sexuales donde se forman los gametos y producen las hormonas sexuales), las vías genitales y los genitales externos. SISTEMA REPRODUCTOR MASCULINO. El aparato reproductor masculino es junto con el femenino, es el encargado de garantizar la procreación, es decir la formación de nuevos individuos para lograr la supervivencia de la especie. Los principales órganos que forman el aparato reproductor masculino son el pene y los testículos. Tanto el pene como los testículos son órganos externos que se encuentran fuera de la cavidad abdominal, a diferencia de los principales órganos del sistema reproductor femenino, vagina, ovarios y útero que son órganos internos por encontrarse dentro del abdomen.
